STARMUS VII in Bratislava ranked among the most visible and complex events of the year, combining a world-class scientific conference, live music performances, and an exclusive VIP program set in iconic locations. For Event-Support, this meant delivering a precisely executed conference production at TIPOS Aréna, while simultaneously creating an exceptional experience for VIP guests and the public at Devín Castle—with a strong focus on coordination, safety, logistics, and flawless operations down to the smallest detail.
CASE STUDY
The scope covered two key components of the STARMUS VII festival:
• End-to-end production of the conference program at TIPOS Aréna (Ondrej Nepela Ice Arena), including a technically demanding venue conversion and multi-day operations. The delivery focused on meeting international standards and providing a professional environment for speakers, partners, media, and the public.
• VIP party at Devín Castle, delivered in parallel with a public concert zone below the castle, encompassing full logistics, security, accompanying activities, and program operations.
The primary challenge lay in the conference production: transforming an ice hockey arena into a conference-format venue while operating in a hybrid stage mode that was simultaneously used for live music performances under the responsibility of another agency. This required exceptionally precise coordination, clearly defined responsibilities, and flawless communication across agencies, the client, and public venue operations.

Solution
The objective was to establish a unified production and operational model for the entire festival week and to connect two distinct locations and audience types into one consistent experience.
At TIPOS Aréna, we developed a detailed venue masterplan (zoning, technical corridors, backstage, security regimes, wayfinding, and visitor flow) and aligned it with stage operations and changeover scheduling to ensure that conference sessions and parallel stage operations ran without conflicts. The festival’s conference program was built around a four-day “Exclusive Talks” block featuring more than 50 world-class speakers.
At Devín Castle, we designed and delivered a dual-zone concept: a VIP zone located directly within the castle and a public concert zone in the area below. The program also included a Star Party—professional telescope-based observation of stars and celestial objects—supported by full F&B facilities, a DJ program, and a live concert (featuring, among others, Billy Barman).

RESULT
To deliver the festival week as a technically precise and organizationally flawless event, uniting a conference featuring dozens of world-class speakers with an exceptional VIP program set in the iconic Devín Castle, creating one cohesive experience. Conference operations within a multifunctional arena and parallel stage production ran in a fully synchronized mode, meeting high demands on timing, safety, and coordination—while Devín hosted a premium “under the stars” evening, supported by professional logistics and a carefully curated program for both VIP guests and the public.
